Thank you for the responses.

Interestingly, when I set the admin for the site to expect to use SSL and then mark the registration page as SSL secured, that page gives me a mixed content message and Fiddler tells me that the offending players are the Cute Editor Template.

 

If I remove the DNN forced SSL from the site, I can navigate to the registration page, start the url with HTTPS:// and the page comes up fine with no mixed messages.

 

Will have to figure out what DNN is doing that would cause this.

 

I will keep posting as I find more answers...
