Sorry this solution doesn't work - just tried with your example on the site, copied some formatted text, then CTRL V with 'disabled' set, and it still allowed it to be pasted.  If I can't sort out the stripping of format on keyboard shortcut, and the 'pasting' text coming in through firefox, I'll still need to disable the keyboard shortcuts.

 

Any ideas?
