Many of the problems I had seen with Firefox and V6.4 CE have been resolved with V6.5.

 

I'm still seeing some issues with Firefox editing under V6.5, though not nearly as serious as the ones I'd report previously.

 

Here's an example of what I'm seeing (see video):

 

Note how when I insert a line break in the pasted "fred" text, I get 20 or so inserted line breaks for the one break that I enter.
