Bug: Inserting a hyperlink erases text

In Safari 3.2.1 and Chrome 1.0, inserting a hyperlink seems to erase an arbitrary amount of text after the link.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Go to CuteEditor demo at: http://cutesoft.net/example/general.aspx
    2. Select the word "so" in the last sentence of the first paragraph.
    3. Choose the Insert Hyperlink button and create a hyperlink to "http://www.cnn.com"
    4. Note that the word "too" is now erased.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Thanks,
    Kevin Albrecht
