Hi Adam,
Could you try the following.
Copy the supplied HTML.
Go to the page.
Switch to HTML
Delete the HTML in the editor and paste the HTML from my post.
Switch to Normal.
This is at it should look.
Now switch back to HTML, now it get mangled.
Switch to Normal to see the result, the middle column is gone.
