No still does the same thing. 

The host we are running on has a machine.config that is different to my machine.config which has caused problems in the past.  E.g. we had to manually add the staticfilehandler for basic filetypes.  Are there any default (I've included all the ones from the demos) web.config settings that if missing may lead to this sort of behaviour?
