Re: CuteEditor & DotNetNuke access right problem

I installed DotNetNuke 2.1.2 again to our test server. So I have now a modified and a perfectly standard versions of DNN 2.1.2.

Both versions work if you are logged in as host or the page's and the module's view and edit settings are set to All Users.

It works also if you aren't using child portals.

BUT same error is with the standard DNN as with the version I have modified if I am using child portals. So modification is not the problem.

The standard version doesn't even work as well as the modified one. If I log in to the childportal as admin or registered user and try to edit html-module and click update after editing I get the same error but now the user gets logged out???

Adam, did you really test this with the DNN 2.1.2 childportals?

Could you test it again with these settings:

    1.Create childportal
2.Create new tab with view and edit settings set only to registered users.
3.Insert new htmltext-module to this new tab
4.Set htmltext-module's edit and view settings only to registered users
5.Create new user account (registerd user)
    6.Logout
7.Login to this childportal you just created with this new user account
    8.Edit htmltext module
9.add picture or table or multiple rows of text
    10.click update

If I test it like this I get:
Either you are not currently logged in, or you do not have the rights to access this module within the portal.

    Someone please help me.

    Thanks.

    Mike
