This may sound like the dumbest question but ...

 

Do I have to have installed v3 before attempting to install v4 of CuteChat and Messenger ?

 

I have spent a lot of time today trying to get the v4 installation of 'web integration' version 4 (chat/messenger) running and have had no luck.  At least no luck using only the content of the V4 download.

 

The only way I could get something to respond to requests with the chat system welcome page was to install v3 first, then copy the content of the v4 zip file over that - replacing whatever it encountered.

 

Have I missed something vital here or are there other docs for the first time v4 users that I should be refering to before trying my hand at installation of CuteChat v4 ?
