It has nothing to do with the appl.pools. We only have one.

 

I guess the reason is that I browse from a win2003 server with enhanced security. This is the server where the livesupport site is hosted.

 

I have tried browseing the chat on several others xp/vista machines with the same connection lost result. I guess Adam got the same problem and would investigate futher.
