'CuteSoft.Chat.ChatWebUtility' does not contain a definition for 'Api'

I am getting this error when attempting to launch a messenger chat window for a user from my web page using <a class="searchBottom" href="#" onclick="Chat_OpenContact('<%=username%>')">

 

any ideas?
