I've tested CE 4.0 in Gecko browsers on WinXP, MAC OS X and SUSE Linux 9.2.
The functionality (and bugs) are equal in all tested Gecko browsers and platforms.
What I found was:
- Browsers terminate unexpectedly, sometimes at random, and always when leaving fullscreen mode.
- Insert link does not work, no dialog appears.
- Forecolor and backcolor palettes pop up with a "file not found" message.
- Cut, copy and Paste buttons does not work without changes to the user.js file on each client computer (this is by design from Mozilla)
- Many useful functions are not supported, Insert image and table functions.
Issue 1-3: Functionality that should have worked(?), as the buttons are visible thru the Gecko.config file.
Issue 5: Is the lack of functionality a result of missing support in the Midas platform, or will future releases of CE include more Gecko functionality?
