Dan,
First you need to create a page (browe_images_from_DB.aspx ) which list all the images from your database.
When the user clicks the custom insert image button, the browe_images_from_DB.aspx is opened. If the user picks an image, a piece of HTML code is inserted into the editor.
For example:
<IMG SRC="/getpicture.aspx?ID=1">
After you insert the image into the editor, you can select it and click the
button to edit its properties.
You can also by select and double click the image, The CE properties dialog automatically pops up allowing you to set various style/border/margin properties.
Hope it helps.
Keep me posted.
