    Re: Media problems with Firefox

I'm afraid, Adam, you have not read the posting correctly. UnlnvlslblE was talking about "...other media content like audio and video..." NOT flash. I have never tried to insert a flash file. As UnInvIsIblE mentions, Mozilla-based browsers show WMV files as flash files in the Cute Editor edit window. Once saved and re-displayed from the database, it shows the correct embedded player. I can definitely live with that....but one thing I can't live with (and this might have to do with my understanding of cross-browser embedded media) is...

After saving, IE plays the video file correctly, no matter which browser I used to insert it. FireFox does not play the video - if you look at the HTML "source" of the page after posting, FireFox will have an incorrect absolute URL to the video file.

Which settings should I use to guarantee WMVs and WMAs are displayed correctly by either browser? I've tried several combinations of absolute, relative, and BaseHRef settings, and so far, nothing's worked.

This problem doesn't exist for images...
