I have the same problem with characters like à ò è.
I posted two times about the problem but I didn't receive any answer. I mean, not a solution, at least an answer, and anyone can reproduce the problem in the database demo page.

If, when loaded from the database, you switch to Preview mode and back to Design, you'll see your characters reappear.
I solved the problem using UseHTMLEntities=false, but it seems a workaround for me, the editor should work with UseHTMLEntities=true (default).
