The editor version is 4.1; I sent an example in the first post of the problem, the standard 'submit' used in the examples works fine, but I need the capability of calling a form submit through javascript.

To clarify,

* A standard form submit button below the editor does save the changes correctly
* The problem arises using javascript to submit a form with the editor in it; the contents do not save in FireFox

The problem is very easy to reproduce using code in the first post and any of your examples..
