Can't delete a file after CopyTo

Can't delete a file after CopyTo

After uploading I copy the file to a working folder. If the user cancels out of the page, I need to delete the working file, but it is locked and I can't perform cleanup.

I first used "args.CopyTo(workingfile);"

I've also tried:

System.IO.Stream stream = args.GetStream();
Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(stream);
bmp.Save(workingfile);
stream.Dispose();

In both cases I was unable to delete the working file.

I assume I need to close some resource in order to free the locks on the file, but I don't know what needs to be closed or how to do it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Are you trying to delete the temp files by yourself? If so, it's not necessary. Ajax uploader will clear the temp files automatically.

If you are cannot delete the files you just uploaded, please post your code.

Cute Editor uses this AjaxUploader internally for more then 4 years.

Hi jrw,

I think that is not caused by AjaxUploader.

As your code ,

the workingfile is created by the Bitmap object.

the resource should be released.

If you are not able to delete the file ,

I think the reason is permission issue.

Did you delete that file by code ?

And did you get any exception infomation while the error occurs ?
