The problem with UseHTMLEntities

Scenario:
1. Switch to Html view;
2. Enter something like &aelig (with ; at the end);
3. Switch to Normal view and back to Html view.
Result: the and &aelig character changed to the character itself instead of character code.

What I want is to save the code of the special characters when I switched between editor modes.

Darin,

Go to this example:

http://cutesoft.net/example/general.aspx

Type the above entity in the HTML view then click the submit button.

After post back, check the HTML code it generated.

You can find it has been converted into: æ = & # 2 3 0 ;

It works with the submit, but will it work while I change the modes in the future versions?

Darin,

I don't think it is a good idea to parse this in the client side. For long text, it will take a lot of time.
