I'm getting a .NET error which seems to have something to do with my Web.config file. What am I doing wrong with this configuration:

 

<appSettings>
  <add key="ConnectionString" value="server=Mercury;database=SamplePortal;uid=test;pwd=test" />
  <add key="OnlineTimeout" value="300" />
  <add key="CuteChat.ConnectionStringProvider" value="SamplePortal.ConnectionStringProvider,SamplePortal" />
  </appSettings>

 

 

Mercury is the server.

I've left the UID and PWD to test for this post.

The connection string worked fine for executing the CuteChatConfig.exe

 

What do I need to modify in this line?:

<add key="CuteChat.ConnectionStringProvider" value="SamplePortal.ConnectionStringProvider,SamplePortal" />

For the web.config file, all you need to change is the connection string.

 

You don't modify the CuteChat.ConnectionStringProvider if you are using the sample project.

 

What kind of error message did you receive?

 

 

This is the error - generic .NET but it's pointing to the web.config correct?

</configuration>

Please follow the above instruction modify your web.config, so we can see the error details.
