I purchased CuteChat to integrate with my DotNetNuke portal www.gameex.net. No problems there.

 

However I also want to now in "addition" run it in a standalone normal web page, but using the same session data. So basically you can use either the dotnetnuke module or have it in a single browser window but using the same session (same users online etc).

 

I just wanted to ask is this possible, and if so how would I do this? I can put the standalone version in the same folders and have no problem making any tweaks to config files.

Will it be a DNN page?

Does it mean if user login DNN and don't need to login the above page?

No, it will be a seperate standalone aspx page.

Well, they don't have to login anyway to use the chat in DNN, I am happy for them just to create a user name each time. I basically want to use the chat session, sharing the same data.

You have two options:

 

1. Install the standalone version. It contains a mini portal.

 

2. Create a separate page chat.aspx and list the chat rooms in this page. It will use the user information of DNN.
