Does anyone know why I am unable to delete the cute editor dll?

If I try to copy the upgrade dll over it, I get "a file with the name you specify already exists....

Please open your VS solution.

 

Click the reference and remove the CuteEditor.dll refrence from your project.

 

Then add the reference of the new CuteEditor.dll to your project.

 

 

Does replacing the dll, leaving the license file where it is, all that I need to do to upgrade, other than a few parameters to upgrade?  I'm a little nervous about doing this on the prod server.

 

You can still use the existing license file.

 

Just update the CuteEditor.dll and all the CuteEditor client files.

 

 

This just isn't working for me- 

 

VWD open.. property pages.. remove reference.. close property page.

Copy new dll to bin directory

Open property page, add reference, browse to bin.. select dll.. close property page.

 

Click build.. and get:

Error 1 Could not load file or assembly 'CuteEditor' or one of its dependencies. Strong name signature could not be verified.  The assembly may have been tampered with, or it was delay signed but not fully signed with the correct private key. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131045)  

I've tried all kinds of different ways, even deleting temp files, closing-reopening.. 

This is getting frustrating.  (not implying this is a CE problem)

Any ideas?
