I am a web developer that has a standard tool for WYSIWYG editing on a website that I provide to my clients. Every time that I sell the product, I "customize" it for look and feel and content based on the client's preferences and then give them the ability to make changes on their own after I am done with the "customization".
I like your editor better (it has features that I like better than the one that I built) and would like to include it with my product. Assuming that I am going to sell more of these websites and the "core" application is going to remain the same, it appears that I would need to buy a Redistribution License or Developer License. I am confused which. I don't need the source code, because I don't want to mess with changing anything from the editor, so I don't need that option.
Am I looking at this correctly? Which license is correct for this purpose? After you answer and to clarify...will this allow me to freely provide this to my clients without additional licensing expense (even considering that the "core" product is the same, but it may include "custom" look and feel for example)? It is unclear where "single commercial application" begins and ends. I don't want to run into any license issues and want to make sure that everyone gets what is fair.
Thank you.
