Hi,

 

I have a problem with cutechat logs, its not working anymore. When i go to a chat room for editing a room, i update the settings for

"History Count to 30" and "History Days to 7" and nothing seems to take effect. But its funny when i change the "Max Idle Minute" to 10 it seems to work right away (idle users in chatroom are signed out ).

 The db is not logging anything? but it has been working before, and i cant find out why ?

I have tested these parameters, both work fine.

History Count
When a user joins the chat  room, Cute Chat shows the old chat record of this chat room. This defines how many records will be displayed when each user joins this chat room.
   
History Days
When a user joins the chat  room, Cute Chat shows the old chat record of this chat room. This defines how many days of records will be displayed when each user joins this chat room.

 

You can follow the following steps to test "History Count":

1. Set "History Count" of chat room "A"  to 3

2. Enter chat room "A"

3. Post  5 messages

4. Close browser

5. Open browser and enter chat room "A"

6. You will find only 3 chat history record are displayed

The "History Days", test steps are similar. 

 

Chat record are stored into table "CuteChat4_LogMessage", please check this table.

Hi Eric,

Yes you are absolutely right, but my problem is still there and the table is empty no log been saved to db.

I did follow your step, with no history and old records, can it be something else ?

Very strangely but it worked after i reset my application and the cutechat began to log again. 

 

Is this issue known to you and what is the solution for  this bug?
