Sorry to post this again as it seems to be done to death in the forums, but I cannot disable the right click context menu on the cute editor.

 

I tried setting the config file options all to false eg

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<configuration>
 <contextmenu>
  <item name="Editing" value="False"/>
    ...removed...
  <item name="Verbs" value="False"/>
 </contextmenu>
 <toolbars>
 </toolbars>
</configuration>


and then I went to the properties of one of my CuteEditors and set all the "EnableContext.." options to false, but still to no go.

 

Any more suggestions?

There is a bug with <item name="Editing" value="False"/>.

Right now you can use the Editor.EnableContextMenu Property to specify whether the context menu is enabled. 

For example:
 

<CE:Editor EnableContextMenu="false" id="Editor1" runat="server" ></CE:Editor>

Again thanks for a speedy response.  Setting EnableContextMenu="false" did not work for me.

I forgot to mention in my first email why I wanted to do this.  I don't mind people pasting text into the editor, I just don't like it when it brings all of Words rubbish with it.  I have stopped people pasting images into the text area, AllowPasteHtml="False", and this also strips off any extra tags etc when a user does a ctrl+v to paste something.  My problem is that when a user does the right click and paste from the context menu, all of the word formatting gets retained.

First this is an example to disable the built-in context menu:

I still get the right click menu even on your disabled example?  Is this Windows, or IE intervening perhaps?

 

I tried the disabled paste option and this was fine for ctrl+v, but I believe you can still use the right click paste option to get your text into the text area.

With EnableContextMenu="false", Cute Editor disables the editor's ContextMenu and what you got is the IE's built-in ContextMenu.

 

In the next minor version,  we will provide the option to disable the IE's built-in ContextMenu as well.

This issue has been resolved.

 

The new Editor.EnableBrowserContextMenu Property has been introduced.

Editor.EnableBrowserContextMenu -- Specify whether the browser context menu is enabled. Set this to false to disable the browser context menu.
