Is it possible to have a validation script before uploading any file?

Cute Editor don't scan the virus.

However the client side validation is supported.

Before anything else, thanks Adam for that quick response.

I see now that we can only use client-side validation.

Would there be a possibility of inserting server-side validation scripts on the upload component?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

CIC Web,

All files will be validated again in the server side when uploading.

Client side validation of file size/types prior to uploading the files to a server to increase usability and reduce consumption of network and server resources.

Okay here's the complete detail on what we want to achieve.

After the user tries to upload their document using the ajax uploader, we will use Microsoft's DSOFile (http://suppot.micosoft.com/kb/224351) that let's you read document properties (Author, Title...etc) to check if the document/file properties has been filled out correctlly.

Our business rule requires that all documents uploaded must have their document properties filled out before uploading.

Would there be a way on how this validation be accomplished through CuteEditor?
