I download, install and start RED5 flash server, I write rtmp://localhost/CuteChat in Admin Page, But web cam does not work!!!

If I click "Turn my camera On", then after 5 second pop up error window:

hi im  new here an beginer, but try only :   /CuteChat    i had the same error with FMS, after i have write only /CuteChat is works.

If I setup FMS then all work fine. Why RED5 server not work?

We recommand you follow these steps to do the test :

 

1. set the 'Flash Vedio Chat Server' to rtmp://cutesoft.net/CuteChat

    and then refresh the chat page and test it again.

    It should works, that means the CuteChat client side works.

 

2. try to re-install the RED5 , and try to make the buildin sample works :

      http://127.0.0.1:5080/demos/SimpleChat.swf

 

3. create an application for RED5, if do not know how to do , just use the buildin application address :

      rtmp://localhost/test , set it to the 'Flash Vedio Chat Server' and try again.
