When you paste a back slash into the text area in normal mode it converts the black slash to a quote automatically.

This seems to happen in FF3 but not in IE7 or Google Chrome. Not sure about FF2.

 

I confirmed this on your demo.

 

Is there a reason for this or is this a bug?
