Access to the path C:\WINDOWS\TEMP is denied

Hi,

When opening the ImageEditor I get the message "Access to the path 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\persisted.{filename}' is denied.'

I have downloaded the latest version and I have tried setting identity impersonate=false. The older version (without the vista look) didn't used to have this problem..

How can I solve this?

Try the steps below.

1. Create a folder under and name it "CuteEditorTemp".

2. Open your web.config and add the following entry:

Adding the exact line gives me the error that the path doesn't exist. So I changed it to ~/Data/Temp where I keep my files.

I see I need to set read/write permissions, is this a new thing in the latest editor? Or shouldn't I need to set permissions?

By the way, the C:\Windows\TEMP error occurs only the first time the page is loaded. If I refresh after the error it's ok, so I think it's unnecesary to manually create a temp path and set permissions on it?

In Cute Editor, we use Ajax Uploader to handle file uploading. Ajax Uploader is an easy to use, hi-performance ASP.NET upload component which allows you to upload files to web server without refreshing the page.

By streaming uploads directly to an output stream, rather than loading them into memory, Ajax Uploader achieves a level of scalability and performance impossible to reach with ASP.NET's built-in functionality.

To achieve this, Ajax Uploader needs a temp folder to hold temp files.

Once files are uploaded, Ajax Uploader will clean the temp files in the temp folder.
