    Change Chat/Messenger install folder in CS2007

    I want to install and operate the Community Server 2007 version of Chat/Messenger from /Chat instead of the default folder CuteSoft_Client.  I followed the directions here..

    ..but CS2007 does not load at all when the appSettings are entered intot he web.config file that is located on the root of CS2007.  There are no other appSettings entries in that config file.

    Am I doing something wrong, or is there a different change to make this work in CS2007?

    murryc,

    For CS 2007, you need to edit the following files as well:

    RedirectForumToChat.aspx

    Themes\default\Common\UserWelcome.ascx

    Themes\default\Forums\GroupList.ascx

    Replace the CuteSoft_Client/CuteChat with your own path.

    Hope it helps.

    Keep me posted

    Re: Change Chat/Messenger install folder in CS2007

    Thanks Adam,

    <removed>

    is the error URL I get when I try to access Chat Admin (for instance), after having made the changes.  I moved the files/folders into the Chat folder on the root of CS, which has the virtual directory of community/.

    I am not using forum chats, so I only changed he UserWelcome.ascx file and updated the records to reflect just teh Chat folder instead of the default Cute Soft folder.

    I did not insert the appsettings as mentined in the developer help area, becuase that just crashes CS.

    What am I missing?  The links are now pointing to the correct folder in CS i.e. community/Chat/ChatAdmin/default.aspx, but why am I getting the error.

    Thanks for your help with this.
