I have located and read the documentation on "editor1.EditorOnPaste" etc

But as of the current version it only works if you go ctl-v or paste from word using menu option.

Is there an option which will strip html (not only word html) on any form of paste ie

shift insert,
ctl v,
file -> edit -> paste in the browser
right click and paste

Its too much of an ask for novice users to understand that word has hidden characters
and that they need to pay special attention to it - all they want to do is go paste (lucky if they understand copy/paste anyway) - even if they see the non html ie stripped text its better than having the hidden word codes as a timebomb.

ie I need a strip of html on any paste as a default.

Can this be done ?

Ben,

Yes, please set the Editor.AllowPasteHtml Property to false.

Editor.AllowPasteHtml Property

Specifies the manner in which the editor handles pasted text. If false, formatting is stripped when content is pasted into the editor. The default is true.

Dosn't work in these wasys

Shift Insert and browser -> file ->edit ->paste

still paste html.

CTL V dosnt paste html and works as stated.

What i need is something on the paste event thats zaps the html.

If you have been around for a long time your more likely to use shift insert to paste anyway than ctl v so its sort of a funny choice (word perfect 5.1).

editor1.AllowPasteHtml =

False

Any other ideas ?

Dosnt work.

How i did the test.

Create a word doc - make a word bold.

Highlight and copy.

Goto to cute editor and paste into area.

ctrl v pastes okay with stripped html

all other methods of pasting bring the html code from word.
ie shift ins, browser->file->edit-> paste.

Im running the ce editor which i downloading on saturday morning - (most likly the latest)

Its not being stripped - its being stripped for control v but not shift insert.
