I in the process of moving to CuteEditorVer 6 for asp.net.

In Ver 5.3 i have a dropdownlist that inserts text directly in to the Editor, this works quite well.

In version 6 the dropdown appears but the text is not inserted into the Editor. code below

DropDownList dropdown = new DropDownList();

container.Controls.Add(dropdown);

dropdown.Attributes["onchange"] = "PasteHTML(this)";

//must set this css name

dropdown.CssClass = "normal";

//I bind to a DataTable

function PasteHTML(select)

{

// get the cute editor instance

var edrEmail = document.getElementById('<%=edrEmail.ClientID%>');

var sel =select.value;

var f = sel + "#";

edrEmail.PasteHTML(f);

}

</script>

Is there a differance in the way the selected item from the dropdown is inserted in Version 6? Please advise

I found the problem only occurs in Firefox, works OK in IE7

The problem is that i am unable to select anything from the dropdown list.

Please advise

Thanks for your reply.

The dropdown I'm using is an ASP.Net dropdown list(not a Rich Dropdown List) so i am able to bind the dropdown to my DataTable(DT) to the dropdown eg; dropdown.Datasource = DT;

This has worked well with ver 5.3 in both Firfox and IE7, but in ver 6, i am unable to select from the dropdown while using in Firefox although it works with IE7.

How would i get this working with Firefox in the same way it works with IE7?

Adam,

Is there a bug in ver6, stopping this from working with Firefox, as this worked fine in ver5.3?

I've spent a great deal of time on getting this working in ver5.3, now it seems I need to start again.

I may have to rewrite my code to use the Rich dropdown instead of the ASP.Net dropdown. I want to populate the contents of a Datatable into the dropdown list then when selected, the selected text shoud be pasted into the Editor.

Would it be possible to bind a rich dropdown list to a Datatable, if so do you have any examples?

It's easy to populate the dropdown list with data from your DB.
