hi adam,
thanks for your prompt response. I'm still facing multiple problems and bugs even with the online demo you showed me. Also, from the example in your post, I do not see a change in font color.
List of problems (Bold, italic and underline are the only controls that work reliably)
1) Image / media insertion only works sometimes. When it doesn't work, nothing appears in the text box (and checking the html reveals nothing) even after media insertion.
2) Font changing - if i highlight some text, and choose a font from the dropdown, nothing happens. This is a consistent bug i'm getting. However, if i highlight some text, and choose a font, then choose a font size, the font does get changed - however it will ge a duplicate copy of the text. In other words, I get the new text with the desired font and color, but the older unchanged text stilll remains. This is a demo:
Old:
i want to change this font
New
i want to change this fonti want to change this font
As you can see from the above example, even in the ASP.NET version of CuteEditor, i'm getting the same bug. ASP.net version does appear to solve the problem of needing to select font size after font selection.
3) I am not able to change font color or font background no matter what I do, even using the steps you outlined above.
This is red
This is blue
A large part of the problem I think is that once u highlight the text and click on a button, the highlight disappears from the selected text. So in order to bold, italic and underline text, you have to highlight, click bold, highlight, click italic etc. This problem also appears to be interfering with font and color selection.
Would it be possible to rush out an urgent fix for at least the basic functions like font and color selection? I was led to believe that CuteEditor is totally cross browser compatible from the information given on the CuteEditor website, but it seems that support for Safari is very poor, and Safari is the browser preloaded on Macs, and supporting the Mac platform is a core part of our business, which is a mobile blogging service provider. We really like CuteEditor's features, but need that Mac support.
thanks!
David
