Problems with Gecko browsers

I have an inconsistent issue. About 50% of the time CE loads in FireFox, Netscape, etc. the text is not editable and I receive an error when selecting a different font, size or style from the CE dropdown list.

Here is my error message:

Which version of Cute Editor are you using?

The latest version is 5.2.
