How to get the Tag in which cursor is

Hi,

Could it be possible that I can come to know in which Tag my cursor current position is and its hierarchy as well.

Lets say in the Document the Cursor position is between the Bold Tag then It would display me that some where on the top of the editor or at the bottom of the Editor . And the document hierarchy as well. If this tag is inside the tag then it should display me the . If it is in the SPAN tag then it should dispaly me as like this. I want to know the cursor position in which tag the Cursor is.

And also I want to give some sort of message So that when the User is in a SPECIFIED tag then it should give some message to the User as well on perofrming some operation..
