Bugs / Issues with 2.1

1. Color Picker does not disable in FireFox

2. Whisper still not disabled. In IE I can click on a user and the messages then read "to [User Name]" If I double-click I get a connection error.

3. Something happens and a period starts showing up in the send textbox before anything I type.

4. If items like color picker are disabled the space on the screen should compress and not just leave blank space.

5. New "Username is typing" needs to be disableable. Don't add anything new without the option of disabling it. This option seems like it could slow things downand be worthless if you have many people on at one time.

6. When you disable emoticans the user can still type codes that convert to emoticons.

Resolved in the latest build. Please download the software again.

Can you give me more details about this?

In the current version, the disabled buttons still take some spaces. We'll resolve it in the next version.

I'm downloading the latest, but it seems to have the same date as the one I downloaded yesterday.

I'm downloading the DNN 3.1 download.

Just downloaded and upgraded again.

Sill Not Working:

1. I CAN STILL WHISPER IN IE when it is disabled in admin. Don't you guys test things before you say it's fixed?

2. Typing emoticons still works in FireFox even when disabled in admin. Fixed in IE

Fixed:

1. Typing message now disableable

2. Period in send textbox now gone (I think)

Reproduce:

1. Open up Chat in IE

2. Click on another user from the user list.

3. Type a message.

4. If I am user FRANK and I clicked on SAM I would see this in the message window.

FRANK to SAM: Message

5. I can click on another name and the to name changes to them. I cannot however get back to it just saying my name.

I do not want this!!!!

This is not WHISPER.

Sending messages to a user

The messages are still public, but directed to a particular user. In a face-to-face conversation with several people, you sometimes look at a particular person when you're talking.

If you are chatting in a room and want to send messages to one of the other chatters, click on his/her name in the user list or select the user nickname from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the window.

Whisper to other people

In the list of users, select the people you want to whisper to.

In the message text box at the bottom of the window, type what you want to say, and then click the Whisper button.

Your message appears only to the people you selected.

OK. Then how do I disable that or atleast make it work consistently and properly in each browser.

2. After you have selected a name how do you get back to not sending a message to anyone?

Thanks for the fixes. Very helpful.

Still getting users complaining of slowness. Shouldn't be the DB. It's MS SQL on the same server as the web.

Any logging or anything that can prove it's not CuteChat?

You can not disable this feature.

This feature can not be disabled in the current version.

Please put that on the To Do List.

But, tell me this. once you have selected a person how do you get back to having no one selected?
