    integrating with our system

    Hopefully someone can answer this:

We use invisions forums and their chat. When a user logs in, they don't have to login more than once to use either one of those products (http://www.invisionpower.com/community/board/index.html)

What I'd like to know is can we integrate our db or logic with this instant messenger so that when user's login to say our chat room or forums, they don't have to login to this IM? In other words, no matter what they login with on our site right now, they only need to login once and they're cool to use either that chat or forums. We'd like to make it so their user name and password also let's them login to this IM.

    Thanks in advance

Hi Sal. I have been testing this product for a couple of weeks now...

Yes, you will be able to ask the user to log in once and be logged in for both products. The global.asax file defines the function for determining the user's login. You can simply query a session variable or anything of the sort.
