FireFox editor read only and shows {EditorIsNotReady} error

I am having problems using CuteEditor with FireFox. The editor is readyonly and all the buttons are disabled exept the drop down menus. I cannot even select the main editor area.

If I select any of the options in any of the drop down menus I get an message box saying simply "{EditorIsNotReady}".

I have created a test page with just one cute editor instance one it that uses the default configuration. All options/parameters are default.

I have firefox v1.5.0.4 and have seen the problem on every PC i've tested on. IE 6 works fine.

I have tried using both IIS 5.1 and 6 on XP Pro and Server 2003 respectively. (not sure if server platform makes a difference)

Strangely, the samples (and forum) on your site work just fine so I must be doing something wrong somethere. Oh yeah and I've got the latest version of CuteEditor.

Apart from this I am delighted with CuteEditor. Thanks for a great product!

Thanks for the nice comments about CuteEditor.

Do you have problems with the examples included in the download package?

If not, is your site online so you can provide a URL or can create a simple aspx which can demonstrate the problems and send it to us?

Hello...

I notice quite the same issue on my site and I can't understand why.

You can see the problem on this URL : http://www.m-o-network.com/ctrlMyFolder.ascx

You will have to login with CuteEditorTest and Password : CETest

Please tell me when you finish your test so I can desactivitate your login.

All is working well on IE 6 but not on FireFox.

Furthermore, when I test on my localhost, the behavior is a little different.

The 2 first editor are working well but not the third.

I'm waiting for your help.

The examples from the download package show the same problem.

Haderach,

I can reproduce the problem with the URL you provided.

Try download the control again and overwite the CuteEditor.dll and all the client files.

If the problem exists, please send your site FTP access to us.

Hello....

I did what you ask and it still doesn't work...

But the the problem is quite strange...

I publish again my website and then in the page of the URL I gave you the 2 first editors were working but not the third with firefox but the all 3 were working with IE.

So I decide to publish the website again after regeneration of the Visual Studio Solution and then only the first editor is working and not the 2 others with firefox.

With IE, all is still working good.

So what is the problem ?

What can I do?

I am sorry but I can't send you my FTP site access.

This example contains 4 CuteEditor controls.

Can you create a simple aspx which can demonstrate the problems and it only contains CuteEditor control?

After you create this file, you can put it online or send it to me thought email.

Hello...

Sorry for this lately answer... no much toime for this project last week end!

I did a simple aspx which demonstrate the problems. It only contains Cute Editor.

The first editor is working, the 2 others no...

When I test in in localhost, the behaviour is changing after each compilation (sometimes the 2 first editor are working and not the other, somtimes is the opposite).

When I'm trying with only 1 editor, it is working 2 times over 3 and sometimes the editor doesn't work. It depends on the compilation....

For info, I'm working with Visual Studio .NET 2005 with .net framework 2.0.

Your example works for me. I've tested your site using IE, Firefox and Safari.

Can you tell me your browser version in details?

My example is working with IE but not with my Firefox which is 1.0 - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0.

On my example the first editor is working but not the others.

Can you try the following link?

I try your link with firefox 1.0 andall editors are working good.

I really don't understand what's going on with my page...

I'm also using Cute Editor 5.3.

What can I do?

For some reason, I am now getting this error also. Everything worked fine last week, but suddenly this week I'm receiving this error in FireFox. Has any info come out regarding this?
