Incorrect formatting on line break in Firefox

We have reports of verifiable behavior in Firefox 3.6.10 Windows of incorrect formatting after pressing Enter.

    Steps to reproduce:

Use http://cutesoft.net/example/oncarriagereturn.aspx example and select P as break element.
Copy and paste HTML from this file
Place cursor before the line that reads "Location: Suburban..." and hit Enter
Observe that line is moved several lines below and not one line

It behaves correctly in IE8. Any workarounds you might suggest for Firefox users besides using IE or other browser?

Re: Incorrect formatting on line break in Firefox

Been seeing a very similar problem.

Am reformating old pages to work with Cute editor, so I do a strip HTML tags and recode the page using the editor. What seems to be happening is when the enter key is pressed (in div mode) sometimes (not always) and fairly unpredictably it will move a chunk of text below where you have pressed return to another part of the page.

I've not been able to reliably reproduce it or find a pattern or reason for it  happening on some bits and not others.

Am currently trying to work out how to switch the editor into <p> or <br /> mode which should I hope cure it.

    Hi,

We have found the reason for some html which mixed <br/> will cause that issue.

We will fix it as soon as possible and release a minor version for it.

    Regards,
    Terry
