How to display album depending on Categories.

    How to display album depending on Categories.

    How can we specify categoryid to get the required categories.Let say if we have 4 categories inside a Album


    <album id="AlBum" name="(Default Album)" nextcategoryid="5" lastPhotoTime="2009-11-23 18:46:30">

    <category id="1" />

    <category id="2" />

    <category id="3" />

    <category id="4" />

    </album>
     
    How can we display only category 2 and 4.

    This function is not supported directly ,
     
    although developers can write custom provider to achieve it.
     
    We will let gallery be more easy to be integrated soon.

    Can you please post an example of how to create and use a custom provider for the slideshow? I too would like to limit my slideshow to specific categories. It would also be nice if the user could change the category while viewing the slideshow.

    Does this mean that even though a user can create Categories using the Admin console, they can't then show photos from that Category?  I've created 3 categories, but all the photos show.
     
    I want a list of categories that the user created to be displayed then the user can click them to show only pictures from that category.  I'm not sure I see the point of Categories if that functionality isn't available?
