Hi.
I tried your evaluation demo.

When i try to upload 40mb+ files, it gives me an error message - "Error,io,"

Can you help me out with this?

IIS7 and large files

By default in IIS 7 requestFiltering has the MaxAllowedContentLength property enabled. It specifies, in bytes, the maximum length of the content in a request. The default is 30,000,000 (approximately 30 megabytes.) To change this value you must edit the following file:

%windir%\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config.

In the ApplicationHost.config file, locate the <requestLimits> node.

Modify the following code.


<requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength ="10000000" />

Is there any way this can be changed at the application level in the web.config? I had made a previous change when the site was running under IIS, but now it is under IIS7 on a shared server and I don't have access to the applicatiionHost.config file.

No, it cannot be set in the web.config.

You can ask your host value of maxAllowedContentLength.

The set MaxSizeKB of uploader based on this value.

     <CuteWebUI:Uploader runat="server" ID="Uploader1" InsertText="Upload">

     </CuteWebUI:Uploader>
