virtual directory IIS 5.1 (windows XP - localhost)

    Adam,

I have the latest build of cutesoft client - running visual studio 2005 and .net 2.0

Creating a virtual directory "CuteSoft_Client" to point to the client files works fine in IIS 6 and IIS 7 - but when running an application localhost in windows XP (IIS 5.1) I can not get it to work

I just get the following at runtime - I have set the permission to full everything on the virtual directory

    any thoughts?

I figured it out - when you create a virtual directory in IIS 5.1 it automatically makes it an application - just right click on the VD and click "Remove" inside of the "Virtual Directory" tab.

my bad - hope this comes in handy for someone else banging their head against the wall
