Avoid Duplicated _Client files

Is there some way to avoid duplicating the _client files on a single web server?

Said differently, I would like all of the web applications on the server to use the same _client files...

Please follow the steps below:

1. Copy the files under CuteEditor to the target directory.

2. Map the directory in IIS as a virtual directory only (not application).

3. Add the following entry into your web.config.

Thanks adam. I am not an expert on IIS by any stretch, so bear with me..

What you are saying is to create a new folder on the server such as "cutesoft_client_files" and make it a virtual directory in IIS for the web in question with an Alias of "Cutesoft_Client".

Then in the web.config file, add the key you referenced. I am not sure how the "~/editor" path gets to the virtual directory "Cutesoft_Client" (which is probably because I don't fully understand the path "~/editor"). I don't see any folders called "editor" in the default Cutesoft_Client folder.

Sorry to be so dense, but I am good at it.

Matt,

1. In IIS Manager, expand the local computer, expand the Web Sites, right-click the site or folder within which you want to create the virtual directory, point to New, and then click Virtual Directory. The Virtual Directory Creation Wizard appears.

2. Click Next.

3. In the Alias box, type a name for the virtual directory. (For example, Editor)

4. Click Next.

5. In the Path box, type or browse to the physical directory in which Cute Editor client files resides, and then click Next.

6. Click Finish.
