Please open ChatUI_IMMain.xml file and remove the following code:

  <HtmlMenuItem Text="$UI_MENU_Contacts">
   <HtmlMenuItem Text="$UI_MENU_AddContact" Image="Images/icon_add.gif">
    <Scripts>
     <OnClick>
      ChatUI_ShowAddContact();
     </OnClick>
    </Scripts>

   <HtmlMenuItem Text="-" />
  </HtmlMenuItem>
