I have uploaded a website. We were looking at the site with the client. On the two desktop machines (one XP and the othe Vista) cuteditor work fine for uploading images.

Note: We were not using localhost -- but in all cases we are on the internet pointing towards the shared hosting site.

However, on my Vista laptop, I get the following error when trying to upload an image: Unable to select so many files at once. The total file name length cannot exceed 32kb.

I have Visual Studio 2008 loaded on my laptop and I do all the programming on my laptop.

When does it happen? Before selecting the files or after selecting the files?

I have the same problem, I have 6.3 running.

I click the "Insert Image" Button.

The popup appears and in the upload section it has the following:

Upload (Max file size allowed 1.95 MB )

Max image dimension is 1024 x 768 Pixels.
Auto resize uploaded images function is on .
Max Upload folder size is : 100.00 MB. Used: 0 B

But as you can see it doesn't have a browse button nor can I select a file from my hard drive. So I tried to just click the upload button to see what happenes and when I click the upload button I get the following error "Unable to select so many files at once. The total file name length cannot exceed 32kb.".

Please help. I tried running your example and I get the same error.

I am running Vista x64 and using FireFox 3.0.8 as well as IE 8.

I just tested it using FireFox on a Server 2008 x64 box and it worked fine there.

Is it Vista x64?

I get the same error.

"Unable to select so many files at once. The total file name length cannot exceed 32kb.
Dialogs must be user-initiated. "

Uploader 2 and Uploader 3 worked just fine (IFrame and Flash)

Uploader 1 and Uploader 4 failed with the same "Unable to select so many files at once. The total file name length cannot exceed 32kb." error. (Auto and Silverlight)

Yes, I do have Silverlight 3 installed.
