Security Exception on Medium Trust Level

Hello, I'm trying the simple-upload demo (with Magic Ajax) in a shared hosting (Godaddy) with medium trust level, but is not working.

When the page is loading the following error raises: System.Security.SecurityException: Request failed.

I have already added this lines to the web.config and the dll files to the bin folder.

    <appSettings>
              <add key="CuteWebUI.AjaxUploader.TempDirectory" value="~/UploaderTemp"/>
...
   </appSettings>

    <controls>
        <add namespace="CuteWebUI" assembly="CuteWebUI.AjaxUploader" tagPrefix="CuteWebUI"/>
        <add namespace="MagicAjax.UI.Controls" assembly="MagicAjax" tagPrefix="MagicAjax"/>

    </controls>
    <httpModules>
        <add name="MagicAjaxModule" type="MagicAjax.MagicAjaxModule, MagicAjax"/>
        <add name="CuteWebUI.UploadModule" type="CuteWebUI.UploadModule,CuteWebUI.AjaxUploader"/>
...

     </httpModules>

Can you tell me what else should I do?

Is that a page load error , or script error , or upload error ?

Hello Adam, I think I'm using the latest version (AjaxUploader 2.0 20090317), I downloaded it last Friday. I've checked the Downloads section and I couldnt find a more recent one.

Hi,

Can you remove all other thing,

Just create a simple page for the uploader , and test it in your server ?

Hello Adam.

This code works, thanks.

Now I'm trying to see what is causing the problem and I noticed that the error raises again when I enclosed your code within these lines:

<MagicAjax:AjaxPanel runat="server" ID="MagicAjax1">
</MagicAjax:AjaxPanel>

What is AjaxPanel for? I have the MagicAjax dll in my bin folder, should I use the Microsoft Ajax assembly instead?

1. If you are using framework 1.1, you need to use MagicAjax dll for 1.1.

If you are using framework 2.0 or 3.5, you need to use MagicAjax dll for 2.0.

Please try the following example:

Hello Adam.

It gives me the same error (System.Security.SecurityException: Request failed.)

I'm using the MagicAjax dll included in the 2.0 folder (version 0.3.0.0).

My hosting doesn't grant me the ReflectionPermission, maybe MagicAjax need it.

Hi,

If the MagicAjax does not able to run at that server,

I recommand you remove it.
