Problem uploading to shared host

Hi,

When I try to upload an image (or anything else) in CuteEditor, I get asked for a username and password after clicking the Upload button. If I cancel out of that, I get "Access to the path 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP' is denied.

I've set permissions on the /assets directory (and subdirs), and I can upload to it without a problem using a home-brewed script.

Any ideas?

Try the steps below.

1. Create a folder under and name it "CuteEditorTemp".

2. Open your web.config and add the following entry:

OK, I tried that, and set permissions on the folder. I added the key under <appsettings>, correct?

I still get "Access to the path 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP' is denied," so it seems like CuteEditorTempPath gets ignored.

Which version are you using? 5.x, 6.0 or 6.1?

version 6.0 on .NET 3.5. Can I download and use 6.1 or is there an upgrade fee?

Problem solved. I set impersonate=false in web.config and that fixed the problem, even without the CuteEditorTempPath key.
