Looks like a great product. I want to buy it. I downloaded the 30 day  trial. I followed deployment exactly as written. I get this error:

 SecurityPolicyFile : /CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Configuration/Security/default.config not found

I tried this on 2 different workstations. same error.

I cannot find any documentation as to where to configure the program to point to this file. IT DOES EXIST.

I wrote to support. No response yet. No telephone support number to call.

You seem to have a great product. Don't lose a sale by having bad support. Can you help?

Can you tell the your file structur?

Does the file /CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/Configuration/Security/default.config exist?

 

 

 

This is my file structure:

1. I created a new test folder in wwwroot called "webapplication1" to mimic your instructions.

 C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\webapplication1\

2. I copied CuteSoft_client into webapplication1 folder

 

3. I also copied the folder vb into webapplication1 folder
 

4. I also created a bin folder and copied the 2 dll files and the license into it.

 

5. To be safe i also copied the 2 dll files and the license to my wwwroot/bin

6. I finally have a web.config file in webapplication1 folder

<configuration>
 <!-- application specific settings -->
 <appSettings>
  <add key="DictionaryFolder" value="bin" />
 </appSettings>
 <system.web>
  <browserCaps>
       tagwriter=System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriter
  </browserCaps>
 </system.web>
</configuration>

I checked the file it cannot find. It is there:

 

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\webapplication1\CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\Configuration\Security\default.config

 

 

It looks like you didn't set up webapplication1 as a virtual directory in your IIS.

 

Can you move the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\webapplication1\CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\ to C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\?

2 quick questions:

1. What file configures all the icons (features)? I would like to select which features I have.

2. The upload pics defaults to an "uploads" folder. How can/where do i change that to a different folder?

 

I'll install the demo tonight on my production web site. If it works, I will purchace the real thing.

Please modify the /CuteEditor/Configuration/AutoConfigure/default.config file.
