Show typing indicator broken?

I have the Show typing indicator turned off and I still see when people are typing. I am in embed mode and am using IE. Is this a bug?

Yes.

Here is a work-around.

1. Open CuteSoft_Client\CuteChat\Skins\Normal\ChatUI.xml file

2. Delete the following code:

   <TypingUserList AutoDock="Fill" Height="28">
     <Scripts>
      <Execute>
       this.GetElement().style.padding="8px";
      </Execute>
     </Scripts>
    </TypingUserList>

I just tried the workaround in CuteChat v5, in fact have deleted that from every XML skin file, but the typing indicator still runs... It seems that the "Show typing indicator" UI customisation option is still broken, even in version 5 (two years after the original post)? Is there a workaround that works?
