Ellen,   Can you try the following example?   http://cutesoft.net/asp/EnableAll.asp   If you can't reproduce the problem, can you try the examples included in the download package.   If you still can't reproduce the problem,  the problem may be caused by the script conflict.    

Make sure you have deployed the following files to the \bin directory for the web application that uses the CuteEditor. NetSpell.SpellChecker.dll en-US.dic If it still doesn't work, move the bin directory  to your web site root.   Keep me posted.

I am having the same issue as Scott. Even when the uploader is inside and update panel the entire page is being posted back. I am using the control in a similar way elsewhere and this is not occuring.Any ideas on what might be causing the page to do a full postback even when it is inside an update panel? 

No, I can't reproduce the issue with your example site.  I'm pretty sure I replaced all the client files when upgrading, but I've done it again just to make sure but unfortunately I'm still experiencing the same problem. Do you have any further suggestions as to what may be causing the problem? Thanks for your help, David

we have solved the problem.   The reason is our current website contains one DHTML news scroller. If we put embedded cute messenger (ascx) and the news scroller on the same page, the CPU usage will be high. If we separate them to diff page, no problem.

   I'm finding that the issue is related to me using an Update Panel - since the asp:FileUpload doesn't work properly either.   I'm seeing if I can work around this issue. Would like to know if you have a solution.
