  • Re: Recent issue in IE8 for uploader?

Hi Besoup,   This is the IE browser limitation, if the client has not the Silverlight or flash plug in installed, then can not get the size on IE. You can add the code below to the bottom of your page, it will pop up the alert message to let the user know must has the flash or Silverlight installed if he using ...

  • Re: Upload photo to database?

Unfortunately that's not an option for us.. we absolutely can't write anything to disk, even temporarily.   In either case, it works fine without that folder with smaller files and always works in Silverlight mode regardless of filesize. If the uploader is trying to use the folder when we're using the custom upload provider in the other ...

  • Re: Upload photo to database?

No code, apart from the uploaderdatabaseprovider you supplied. I re-created the database table using your sql definition to make sure it wasn't that.   Locally am running IIS7 and SQL Express 05. For testing I am just trying to upload a .doc file about 2 megabytes in size. Am not using ajax in this example. Silverlight mode seems to ...

  • Re: JavaScript message "Unknown error..!" when using UploadType=Auto and neither flash or silverlight installed

Eventually tracked this down to the response header ''X-FRAME-OPTIONS'' being set to ''DENY''. Setting the header to ''SAMEORIGIN'' resolves the problem.

  • Re: Force to use Flash mode

Hi, The sample code we're using is straight out of one of your included samples. The issue is not that it 'forces' Silverlight when Silverlight is not installed, but that Silverlight is installed, but when run attempts to auto-download a Silverlight update - which some users do not have permission to install.  Is it possible to ...

  • Re: IE problem after uploader update

Hello, Terry.   Thank you for your reply.   We have tried both solution but neither of them helped. We still get the same error.   We disabled uploader script source as you suggested as the second option of your post and reverse engineered resource file with javascript. The error occures when the script tries to set mouse ...

  • Re: Opera with Silverlight 3 and Flash 10

Hi,   yes i can reproduce it. The flash browse buttons are overlayed with color red and the silverlight buttons are overlayed with color white. If i would have the permissions, i would upload the screenshot, which shows you the problem.

Which version of Ajax uploader are you using?   Which version of ASP.NET are you using?   Can you try the following example?   http://ajaxuploader.com/demo/select-multiple-files-upload.aspx

  • Re: Silverlight problem

I get it in both Firefox 3 and IE 7. If I upload a small file (less than 200MB) it works perfectly. The strange thing is that the point where it breaks is never the same - usually though it's somewhere between 300-400.

  • Re: Select Files does not work for single user

Hey Eric,    We've had another user contact our helpdesk with the same issue.  We offered uninstalling Silverlight as a workaround and his IE started working but in both cases their Firefox no longer worked.  Both were running Firefox 4.0.1.  Here in our office Firefox 4.0.1 works fine with the ...
