Is there any easy way to determine if the html loaded into the editor text box has been changed? For example is there some call that would return the length of the undo stack? We would like to alert the end user if changes are about to be lost (due to failure to save the changes to a page.). I suppose it would be ...

Adam -- Most likely you are correct and it is not a cute editor issue! This page has a dropdown listbox (external to Editor text box) as a part of the page controls. During inital page load this dropdown box has its selection established. I have modified the page to provide extensive tracing of the cuteeditor actions. ...

  • Save failure

We are currently attempting to upgrade to v6.0. In a test bed (using pages created in a previous release) I discover that if I make a change (delete some text and insert a picture, the save fails to over-write the existing file. Interestingly enough if I clean-up the HTML first the save seems to work. The real problem is ...

  • Re: Trying to use your file dialog box with a new custom control

Both of the last two lines ''break'' the custom button with a command not implemented. By changing -- var editdoc = editor1.GetDocument();to -- var editdoc = editor.GetDocument(); I get by the first problem. I'm not a java developer so really don't understand the ''new'' call. It appears that you have ...

  • Re: Trying to use your file dialog box with a new custom control

I am sure this tip would be of some help if I were only a bit smarter. The above link does not show me the code that accomplishes this function! Further, I have been using Cute Editor for over 3 years and each release seems to break something that we had working before! In this instance 5.3 will display the custom button -- ...

I have just installed the latest release and now have a serious problem. When I right click on text in a table the first pop-up is fine. Hover over ''tags'' and the second pop-up is fine, hover over the ''P'' tag and the third pop-up is fine BUT any other tag gives a javascript error -- line 0 Object expected. Using IE v6.0-SP2 ...

  • Spell check

Since we installed 4.007 the spell checker has stopped working. Then we ask for a spell check we have two checking windows pop up, The second is larger than the first, and appears to process the documents contents correctly. No spell check complete ever occurs and the only option is to cancel. Of course the changes ...
